Denny + Ashley | Jekyll Island Wedding & Hazlehurst House Reception

Denny + Ashley's wedding was such a dream! Natalie, my 2nd shooter, and I traveled south to capture their beautiful ceremony on Jekyll Island's driftwood beach. Denny + Ashley chose to have a small private ceremony of just family and close friends on the beach. After the ceremony on Jekyll Island we all loaded up and drove over to St. Simon's Island to take advantage of the beautiful spanish moss trees that the island is known for. The trees and hanging moss are so photoesque!

The following weekend Denny + Ashley had their reception in McDonough, Ga at the Hazlehurst House (their hometown). As you will see in the pictures, they are HUGE Disney fans - Denny actually proposed at Disney World! I love how they incorporated their love for Disney into their reception, such a sweet touch to represent who they are. Both weekends were absolutely magical! I just loved watching these playful lovebirds become a union of one. Denny + Ashley, congratulations on becoming Mr. & Mrs.! Thank you for allowing me to be a part in this special time in your lives, I've loved every minute of it.

Madison | Atlanta, GA Newborn Lifestyle Photographer

I cherish the opportunity to document my brides and grooms as they transition into parenthood. Amberly and Landon were one of my very first weddings (which was featured in Style Me Pretty Georgia - click here to see). I am so thankful that they have chosen me to capture this special time for them. Being able to photograph my clients throughout the most memorable times of their lives touches my heart in such a deep way. I am so blessed and honored to do what I love and will forever be grateful to my clients who have chosen me to document their life stories.

Below is the lifestyle portion of baby Madison's newborn package. Mom and dad chose to do a styled session in addition to lifestyle portraits with the family. Amberly and Landon, thank you for welcoming me into your home. Congrats, again, on your new little bundle. She is perfection! :)

American Boho | Sarah Norman Photography

A little over a year ago, an old friend from elementary school, Sarah, reached out to me for advice about pursuing a career in photography. I love to help other photographers any way that I can so I invited Sarah to shadow me on a few sessions to give her an idea of how I run my business. In my experience, being around other photographers is the best way to learn, and I have been amazed by the photographer that Sarah has developed into over the last few months! She has really pushed herself to hone her camera and editing skills, I couldn’t be more proud of her!

A few months ago, Sarah asked if I would let her photograph me for practice. Like most photographers, I am very reluctant to get in front of the camera. I can't recall my exact response but I'm sure it was something along the lines of... "Do I have to?" Although I was hesitant, I agreed to it. 

The longer I have been a photographer the more uncomfortable I have become being a model, but Sarah made me feel so relaxed in front of the camera. She pulled me right out of my discomfort! I had so much fun shooting with Sarah, it was a blast channeling my inner hippie and pretending that I was a flower child living in the 70's! 

Sarah Norman Photography did such a great job capturing the mood of this shoot. I can't wait to see where she takes her talent! :)
