Ashley | Newnan, GA Photographer

Believe it or not, it is possible to be cute, sexy, and beautiful. All in one? Yes: All. In. One. Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds is proof.

I've known Ashley for years. We awkwardly sat on the front row in 6th grade band class. When I say awkward I mean Tommy Hilfiger attire, braces, and flutes. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention the double pair of mens' white athletic socks, scrunched to perfection. I wish I was kidding.

Almost fifteen years later and Ashley is anything BUT awkward. She and her husband travel the states moving to new cities every few months for his job (major cool points in my book). Ashley shares all of their adventures with Jonathan (and their pup, Bella) on her blog- hence Adventures of Newlyweds. During a short visit to Newnan, Ashley asked me to take a few shots for her blog. Lucky me! Now, for proof that, indeed, it's possible to be cute, sexy, and beautiful...

And just for a good laugh...

Spring Fashion Board

It's time to put away the sweaters and boots! As much as I love knee high socks and ponchos, I'm clearing them out of the closet and making room for warm weather clothes. Bring on the sandals, dresses and shorts! Do I hear any "hallelujahs" out there? In comparison to the other seasons, spring is unique in that you can still wear some of your favorite colder weather pieces by mixing them with shorts or skirts. Who says you can't pair a linen scarf with a tank-top? It's fun and adds personality to your style- try it and see what you think. Mixing and matching garments to find new looks is one of my favorite things to do.

With the help of Pinterst, I created a board of some of my favorite spring staples. These looks are to die for and inspire me when I'm shopping as well as when I'm mixing and matching my already purchased pieces.

1. Lace top + sequin tank + pastel colored skinny jeans: This may be one of my favorite looks on the board. Hence, #1. I, in fact, loved it so much I ran to Express and purchased the lace top. The light pink skinnies are next on my list. Colored skinny jeans are so "in" this season- I heart them. But seriously, is this look amazing or what?! Add some gold accessories and BOOM- stunner.

2. Glitz, bling, and shimmer: I am a sucker for anything that shines! I am in love with this gold shimmery blouse, not only for it's bling, but for the fit as well. Loose and baggy- I love you.

3. Floral + Stripes: Don't be afraid to mix colors and patterns- it's so trendy right now. The fact that you can just pick a few of your favorite pieces and make an outfit that works is so much fun. Go for it, I know I am!

4. Leopard + Stripes: Repeat of what I said above. And did I mention that I'm addicted to anything leopard print? It's so much fun!

5. Sheer maxi dress + lace vest + skinny brown belt: I love maxi dresses! They are so comfortable, cool and stylish. I like that this dress is sheer and has a flap up top- winner in my book. Paired with a lace vest and brown leather skinny belt- drooling.

6. Cobalt blue sheer blouse: Color, color and more color this season. It's all about making a statement. Sheer and color all in one is right up my alley. I love the loose breezy fit and the pockets. Such a great top.

7. Pink blazer + maxi skirt + chunky belt: Blazers are very trendy right now- I'm loving it! There's something about making a masculine piece look so feminine that I absolutely adore. You can pair them with trousers, jeans, shorts, dresses AND skirts. Umm ... HELLO amazing wardrobe piece. I'm addicted to maxi skirts as much as I am maxi dresses. The print on this skirt is perfection. I want this outfit, like yesterday.

8. Belted skirt with tucked in sheer blouse: This is another one of my favorite ensembles I've come across on Pinterest. From the color palette to the accessories to the fit- it's spectacular. Doesn't it scream "Fashionista"!? I particularly love how the leopard and hat pull it all together. Swooning...

Well if that wasn't a tease I don't know what is ;) I'll just keep pretending like every time I pin someone on Pinterest that it will magically become part of my wardrobe. I'll keep dreaming. Am I the only one out there? Thanks for stopping by, let me know if you want to go shopping! Haha ...

Stay tuned, I'll be posting "Accessories," "Shoes," and "Summer" boards soon...

The very thing I needed.

In the midst of my routine, I occasionally stop and think: "Slow down ... take it in ... enjoy this moment." Sometimes my schedule causes me to neglect some of the things I enjoy the most- making memories with my family and friends.  Due to the winter weather, photography has been slow the last two months - what a blessing it has been. The print below must have been made for me!

With warmer days quickly approaching, I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. Although I've enjoyed the last two months "breaking," I'm excited about spending more time taking pictures and blogging. Before I get back into the groove, I thought I'd share a few Instagram pictures of what I've been doing lately.

Had dinner with two of my besties, Jamie and Dayna.

Wrapped up Ariston's soccer season (and Brandon's first time coaching him).

Took a trip to NYC with Brandon.

New York City, NY

Jumped on the trampoline, a lot.

Went to our last Barrister's Ball (Law Prom, as we call it).

Went with Ariston's class on their field trip to the circus.

Welcomed one of my best friend's newest addition, little Brantley, into the world.

Celebrated Brandon's Birthday. He's a quarter of a century, +1!

Went rock climbing with my family.

Spent many nights at the gym.

Helped Brandon kick off the Kevin McMurry campaign.

Spent quiet time praying and reading my Bible.

Taught my student's how to use ratios, creatively.

Celebrated my grandparents' 50th Wedding Anniversary in Tennessee.

Snuggled with my Snuggle Bunny.

Took a trip to Tampa to visit Brandon's family.

Practiced for Ariston's first baseball season.

Tried a few new recipes (teriyaki, turkey lettuce wraps).

Met my favorite photographer, Jasmine Star, in Atlanta.

Painted my kitchen table with chalk paint. Oh the art and math to be had on that table!

Enjoyed many beautiful sunsets.

Alyssa + BTS | Newnan, Ga Newborn Photographer

Better late than ever, right Julie? ;)

I've known Julie since high school, she's Alyssa's mommy. Since I've known Julie, I've adored her. She is a super cool chic- the type that girls love and boys want to take home to momma. Lucky for Josh, he beat all the others guys to the punch. Lucky for me, I get to call her my friend.

Julie and Josh welcomed me into their lovely Birmingham home to capture Alyssa, their first born. I say first born because with genes like those, they better have more!  After visiting with Julie (and falling head over heels for Alyssa) we got right to work. We set up shop in the dining room, which is where we found the most natural light. I knew we'd have more shooting time on that side of the house because of the sun setting.

Josh and Julie, thank you for allowing me to capture your precious Alyssa. She truly is an angel. I hope you enjoy these photos for years to come!

PS- I can't wait to see you this weekend, Julie!

Behind the Scenes
(thank you for taking these Julie!)

With a firm grip, I am holding Alyssa in position while allowing her to feel my presence.
This is what love looks like.

I never leave the house for a newborn session without my little space heater. What a life saver!

Can you hear me? "Go to sleep... go to sleep... go to sleep little baby..." Is she precious or what?!
