a few more of the {Thweatts}

Just playing around with texture & editing techniques. I still have tons of fabulous photos from the "Thweatt" shoot that I still want to edit.... just never enough time to do everything I want to do.

just this ONCE...

... for the sake of some pretty darn cute photos. Being Ariston's Mom, and the one and ONLY woman in his  life I cannot believe at one point during this session these words came out of my mouth: "Anna, give Ariston a kiss!" Megan (Anna's Mom) and I were so into the photography that we forgot our little babies sure did look cute together. Megan said to me, "You sure are starting him out young." Actually, that's the opposite! Because he has Veasey blood running through his veins he will not date until the age of 21 ;) So, Mr. Ariston, I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted because that's the end of the ladies for you, sir. At least for the next 17-18 years. Haha! All jokes aside, I think these photos turned out very cute. Pure, innocent fun! Ariston and William were just precious together. I just love these!!!

{ family } The THWEATTS

Ok, I realize I added a ton of photo entries to this post but how in the world was I supposed to choose only a few? This family is gorgeous. Dustin and Megan have 3 beautiful children: Kyleigh, Anna. & William. I had so much fun spending the day with them. I simply could not snap enough pictures. VERY photogenic family, which a photographer (and I use that term loosely, hehe) can appreciate. We didn't even make it to half the locations we wanted to. We left many props untouched. Looks like we may have another shoot ahead of us... which sounds fantastic to me :) Thanks Thweatts, for being soo much fun and FULL OF LIFE.

{ baby } KALE

Ever have one of those moments where you think, "Wow, I really am getting old"? Well, meeting this little guy sparked one of those moments for me. Katie, his mother, babysat Ariston (my son) when he was a toddler. She was in high school. Now she has graduated and  is a mother herself!! Whoa, that makes me feel so old. So, allow me to introduce Kale. He is such a sweet little baby boy. I love his name! We had a boxer named Cael, spelled differently but pronounced the same. My husband and I named the dog before we had our son. Once we found out we were pregnant and started looking for names we were a little disappointed we had used such a cool name on the dog and couldn't use it on our son. Here I go getting off track again :) So- back to the photo shoot: I was initially planning on photographing him asleep for the majority of the pictures, however, he had other plans :) Funny how even at 3 weeks old they can have a mind of their own. Since he was not in the mood for sleeping we got some really great awake shots, which is perfectly fine with me :) I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Kale and Katie. All these babies are really making me get the itch! Ariston asking me every day for 16 brothers and sisters isn't helping either. Yeah, 16. Sometimes he asks for 18, but usually 16. HAHA, gotta love em'.

RUSTic

Found some cool rustic backdrops around Stockbridge... so of course I had to try them out with my little man. The red one is an old dugout and the other is an old barn/shed door. I love the texture and colors of the old wood in both of these photos... but my favorite part is Ariston. He's perfect in my eyes.

This is 4 generations of Veasey boys. Jack, Glenn, Brandon & Ariston. Before Easter dinner we all took a trip up to the hay field to snap a few shots. What a handsome crew! These photos are definitely "framers." BomBom Jack (Ariston's great-grandfather) is going to cut the field this week. It's bittersweet for me. I'm sad that I won't have the convenience of a hay field for photos practically in my backyard, but excited to have a grass field as a new backdrop!!

Brother + Sister

I had the opportunity to photograph a co-worker's children last Thursday after work. Dyan and I scouted out the location a few days before the shoot. It was beautiful! When Thursday rolled around I was excited to meet the kids. They were so sweet, and absolutely beautiful :) Dyan warned me before hand that they hate  dislike having their pictures taken. I think they did wonderful! They were very cooperative and all smiles :)
