Michael + Danielle | Newnan, Ga Maternity Photographer

I have known Michael + Danielle for several years so witnessing them become parents has been a delight. When Danielle reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in capturing this special time in their lives I was honored. OF CORUSE I WOULD!! Photographing couples as they enter parenthood is a pleasure and something I cherish. And... it's always a little extra special when it's people you know. :)

You will quickly see how stunning these two are - beautiful doesn't even begin to describe the glow that Danielle possesses. Oh, and Michael was the perfect accessory (wink wink). This maternity session is one that goes down in the books. I was "ooooing" and "ahhhing" all over the place!

Michel + Danielle have since welcomed little Miss Presley into the world so be on the look-out for more photos of her. Until then, here are some precious memories of her proud mama + papa as they were anxiously awaiting her arrival...

Christina + Lucy | Newnan, Ga Family Photographer

I am so excited to share this mother + daughter maternity session with you guys! Christina is expecting baby number two so when she asked me to do a mother/daughter floral crown inspired maternity session my heart nearly jumped out of my chest! UHH, YESSS PLEASE (I'm still obsessing over florals of any kind, especially when used as a crown). Not only is mama expecting baby brother in just a few short months but big sister Lucy just turned ONE. After a quick shoot with Christina + Lucy I hung around to snap some pics of little Miss Lucy's floral themed birthday party set-up. What princess shouldn't wear a crown of flowers on her very first birthday, right?! It was just adorable. :)

Now, check out these little beauties...

Derek + Ashley | Newnan, Ga Maternity Photographer

I am so obsessed with Derek + Ashley's maternity session! I love working with people who trust in me and my vision, ready to go anywhere and do anything. On a whim, I made Ashley's baby's breath floral headpiece about 10 minutes before we headed out to shoot (how's that for waiting until the last minute?). Sometimes I get these ideas and just throw something together. It may not have been perfectly made but it was pure perfection for their session. And wait until you see her sweet baby bump... it is teeny & adorable! Would you believe Ashley is 37 weeks here? I typically photograph maternity sessions between 30-33 weeks. When I saw Ashley at 33 weeks into her pregnancy I told her she needed to bake that baby girl a little longer so we could really see that bump in her pictures. Even at 37 weeks she's tiny! Man, I sure do wish I would have had that problem...

I'm BACK!

Okay, I admit... I've been gone far too long. I have so many new and exciting things to share with you guys that I don't even know where to begin! I guess I'll back up to where I left off: The Preggo Days

As some of you may know, Brandon and I found out we were expecting late last Spring. (YAY!) I continued shooting but let my blog fall by the wayside. Sad, indeed, but something had to give. Teaching full-time while continuing to book sessions (up until I was 8 months along) contributed to a very full plate, no pun intended. ;) Photography and teaching in addition to all the typical mom and wife activities kept me entirely too busy.

To catch you guys up a little on the personal side of things, I've included a collage of Instagram pictures that I took to document my growing baby bump. They are in chronological order from weeks 11 to 39, skipping a few along the way. By the end of my pregnancy I thought for sure I was toting around a 10-pounder, look at that thing!!

WHOA baby

In the Fall, Nicole Powell of Free People Photography took our maternity pictures. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you've heard me say it a hundred times- she is so incredibly talented. I am thankful not only to have had such an inspiring photographer capture this special time for our family, but also to call her my friend. Below are some of my favorite shots from our maternity session with Nicole.

Being away from the blog makes coming back that much sweeter, y'all! Did that sound like Paula Dean or what?! Anywho, I'm planning on filling you guys in on Baby Jack's birth, a few of my latest sessions and a HUGE announcement about my photography business. All of that is coming to the blog within the next few days. Stay tuned!
