Maci Katelyn | Newnan, GA Newborn Photographer

Newborn girls seem to be the trend for Shauna Veasey Photography right now. Let me tell you, I'm loving every minute of it! One of my most recent little ladies was Maci Katelyn. Don't you just love her name? Maci was right at a week old when I photographed her. As you can see, she's a little angel.

My first ever B&W edit of a newborn. It's lovely.

Austin | Newnan, GA Senior Photographer

I have known Austin since he was six years old. My friend, Brittany, is his older sister so I've been able to watch him grow into a young man over the years. Being that Austin is graduating with my brother, Brittany and I often talk about how unbelievable it is that our baby brothers are graduating this year. They are going to be in college and it totally freaks us out. Where does the time go?

As you will see in the photos, Austin is quite the looker. The Parmer's have such a beautiful family and they're quite photogenic as well. Austin was a lot of fun to work with. He brought his baseball stuff for us to incorporate into the shoot, which I really appreciate. With seniors I think it's important to find a way to include the things they love into their photographs.

We started this session in downtown Sharpsburg and ended at my old stomping grounds, East Coweta High School. Check them out!

Picks + Passes

Picks
  • Elf on the Shelf has taken over our house and we're loving it! Steve, our elf, is quite the mischievous little guy- the other night he TPed our bathroom! If you have a little one, I highly recommend you looking into having one fly in from the North Pole to stay with you during the holidays. They're so much fun!
  • Ponchos like this one, this one and this one. I'm obsessed!
  • My alarm's snooze button. You know, for those eight extra minutes ... three times in a row.
  • Clorox disinfecting wipes. Holy cleanliness, I love you! Surely this is a neat freak thing. Anyways, I'm grateful to have them because they keep my house and classroom nice and clean. Germs, stay away!
  • Burlap and cotton, together. Because the organic simplicity of the two is so appealing to me, I used both as inspiration for my Christmas decor this year. Pictures below :)
Passes
  • Bath and Body Works, for no longer carrying the Sunburst Tangerine aromatherapy hand soap. I'm so disappointed in their product selection people.  What are they thinking? It was their best soap! #disappointedconsumer
  • The scales, for reminding me that eating whatever I want, whenever I want, will indeed result in the numbers increasing (as I continue to bake cookies and buy confetti cake mix).
  • My alarm's snooze button. You know, for causing me to push the brinks of being on time to work every. single. day. I wonder if my make-up has warning labels that say: Do not apply in car while sitting at a red light ... or in a car period.
I've included a few photos of my Christmas tree and mantle. I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't done an ounce of Christmas shopping. I'm hoping to add some gifts under the tree this weekend!

Aida - 6 mo. | Newnan, Ga Family Photographer

One of the most enjoyable parts of working with children is being able to watch them grow into little people. Six months ago I photographed Aida when she was a newborn (you can see the session here). Now, half a year later, she is an entirely different little girl! One thing hasn't changed- she is a DOLL. Just precious! I know her mommy and daddy are very proud to call her theirs.

On a beautiful November day I traveled out to Newnan to meet Neely, Josh and Aida. Although it was a little windy, we couldn't have been happier. The leaves were bright and the weather was nice.

I enjoy getting to see the Dean family any chance I can get. They are so welcoming and easy to be around; it's like we've known each other for years. Aida has the sweetest little temperament and cutest expressions possible. I could eat her up :)

This first picture is probably my favorite- her little smirk just makes me smile!
