Casey + Her Littles | Newnan, Ga Family Photographer

For a while now I've been wanting to photograph a mother and daughter wearing floral crowns. There is just something about the femininity and beauty flowers bring to a photograph - perfect for a mom and her little girl. When Casey contacted me I knew she would be the perfect candidate for what I had been envisioning. The night before our session I made two matching crowns for the two of them (of course, a little Pinterest DIY tutorial was of much assistance in the making). I am so pleased with how they turned out!

After spending some time photographing Casey with her little ones we decided to do some creative portraits of Casey by herself. As moms, it is a rarity that we get to explore our beauty, especially in front of a camera. Casey is a fellow photographer and blogger (you can see her work here) so the two of us were able to put our ideas together and create some pretty amazing images. Wait until you see the fierceness she possess in front of the camera - this woman should be a model!!

Update | Newnan, GA Child + Baby Photography

Hi Guys! A while back I shared a picture of the house we bought way back in March, which explains my posting negligence -- awful of me to be gone this long, I know (you can see the house post here). We bought the house with intentions of renovating it but let me just tell you... we had NO idea it was going to be near as much work as it turned out to be. WOW, we almost* bit off more than we could chew. Being the DIY-ers we are, doing it ourselves naturally ended up taking a lot longer than it would have if had contracted everything out. I was on a budget with high hopes that my vision for the space was attainable. We stuck to our guns and finallllly, several months later, are moved in and settled(ish). Hooray!! The To-Do list is still pretty long but I've come to the conclusion that having an unfinished Honey-Do list must be part of being a homeowner and apparently there are always things that need to be done. We have several more projects inside the house to tackle and we haven't even touched the exterior (oh my!!). So, there is a lot still to be done but I'm just thankful we're in it. Hallelujah! Stay tuned for some before and after pictures a little later.

In April, I shared with you guys that this would be my first year pursuing my photography full-time. You can read more about my decision to make that leap here. I'm only a few months in but am totally amazed by how well this transition has gone for me. I'm learning to adjust along the way but so far I'm very pleased with the decision and I have high hopes for my growing business. Being able to work and not feel like I'm actually working is the best feeling in the entire world - something I didn't think truly existed. I've found my calling and am blessed beyond words to be able to do it every day. I'd like to share some of my latest baby and child sessions, a few dating all the way back to the spring. Prepare yourselves for major cuteness overload because these little-bits are just adorable!! I love all my littles so so much. :)

Later this week I'll be sharing some gorgeous seniors!

(That's my niece, Hudson!! I'm an Aunt now!)

Playing Catch Up

Yep, that's right. It's catch up time! I didn't even realize how long it had been since I made a session post until I started looking through my Facebook fan page. YIKES! I'm a little embarrassed that I've gotten this far behind. Pregnancy and maternity leave have definitely gotten the best of me, what can I say (wink wink). I've purposefully left a few sessions {and weddings} out with intentions of blogging about those later.

Enjoy all the cuteness and beauty of the most fabulous clients ever...
