2014 Seniors | Newnan, GA Senior Photographer

Seniors have become some of my very favorite clients! I always enjoy their willingness and enthusiasm to do just about anything I have in mind or suggest. Whether we're out in a field or in the city they are usually up for anything. Here are a few of my latest 2014 Seniors. Aren't they lovely?

Update | Newnan, GA Child + Baby Photography

Hi Guys! A while back I shared a picture of the house we bought way back in March, which explains my posting negligence -- awful of me to be gone this long, I know (you can see the house post here). We bought the house with intentions of renovating it but let me just tell you... we had NO idea it was going to be near as much work as it turned out to be. WOW, we almost* bit off more than we could chew. Being the DIY-ers we are, doing it ourselves naturally ended up taking a lot longer than it would have if had contracted everything out. I was on a budget with high hopes that my vision for the space was attainable. We stuck to our guns and finallllly, several months later, are moved in and settled(ish). Hooray!! The To-Do list is still pretty long but I've come to the conclusion that having an unfinished Honey-Do list must be part of being a homeowner and apparently there are always things that need to be done. We have several more projects inside the house to tackle and we haven't even touched the exterior (oh my!!). So, there is a lot still to be done but I'm just thankful we're in it. Hallelujah! Stay tuned for some before and after pictures a little later.

In April, I shared with you guys that this would be my first year pursuing my photography full-time. You can read more about my decision to make that leap here. I'm only a few months in but am totally amazed by how well this transition has gone for me. I'm learning to adjust along the way but so far I'm very pleased with the decision and I have high hopes for my growing business. Being able to work and not feel like I'm actually working is the best feeling in the entire world - something I didn't think truly existed. I've found my calling and am blessed beyond words to be able to do it every day. I'd like to share some of my latest baby and child sessions, a few dating all the way back to the spring. Prepare yourselves for major cuteness overload because these little-bits are just adorable!! I love all my littles so so much. :)

Later this week I'll be sharing some gorgeous seniors!

(That's my niece, Hudson!! I'm an Aunt now!)

Daniel + Kelli | Newnan, Ga Engagement + Wedding Photographer

I *especially* LOVE engagement sessions. It's so much fun capturing two people in love with my camera. I typically try to let the chemistry between the pair guide the session. . . I just follow their lead. I may choose the spot and do a little positioning but for the most part the love birds do all of the work.

Engagement sessions are an important part of my wedding photography. It's a great way for me to get to know the soon to be bride and gives them the opportunity to see how I work. It is a chance for us to get to know each other in a photography setting. When the wedding day rolls around all the nerves from the unexpected are gone because we've already worked together. The last thing you want to worry about on the day you are getting married is being uncomfortable in front of your photographer. Doing an engagement session with your wedding photographer is a win-win!

Daniel and Kelli are a perfect example of how it should work--we did their engagement session several months before their wedding, and when the big day rolled around everything was a breeze! Even Daniel will admit that he wasn't too keen on having his picture taken before their engagement session, but by his wedding day. . . he was a PRO!

Daniel and Kelli are such a beautiful couple--inside and out. It's funny but they actually became good friends of ours after we worked together. I love it when that happens! It's one of my very favorite things about being a photographer. Taking pictures is my passion, but making new friends and connecting with people is the best part of my job. Enough rambling, below are some of my favorite shots from Daniel and Kelli's engagement session and wedding. Enjoy! (Daniel & Kelli, dinner date soon?)
